anusara® yoga & anusara-inspired™ |
A "heart-oriented" style with an emphasis in optimal, anatomical alignment, blended with the rhythmic, dance-like qualities of vinyasa flow yoga. *Anusara* means "flowing with Grace," "going with the flow," "following your heart." Without a rigid dogma, this system is open to continual change and restructuring. Self-examination, discovery, and receptivity to new ideas are foundational to this dynamic system. Students of all levels of ability and yoga experience are honored for their unique differences, limitations, and talents.

forrest - HOT |
This Hatha-based practice ignites your passion for living and brings vitality to the body by teaching you to breathe into every cell. Focused on building core strength, the pillars of Forrest Yoga are Breath, Strength, Integrity and Spirit. The performance of vigorous asana sequences is a powerful tool for restoring and building strength, purifying the body and releasing pent-up emotions and pain so that healing can take place on a deeper level. It is a practice for all students regardless of what level of yoga they practice. The room is heated up to encourage students to sweat, releasing toxins during practice. It is a good idea to bring some water and a small hand towel with you. Expect an intense workout with an emphasis on abdominal (core) strengthening and deep breathing. |

restorative yoga
& aroma restorative yoga |
Restorative Yoga is the deliberate practice of stillness. With the intent to relax, the body is placed in various postures, similar to classical Hatha Yoga Poses. Usually the body is held for a prolonged period of time, and props are used to support the body. While externally there is apparent stillness, internally the practitioner brings awareness to the breath and the experience of relaxing.
In Aroma Restorative yoga, aromatherapy of Young Living Essential Oils will be used during this class to promote restoration and relaxation. In addition to the drop-in fee or single class punch, a $5.00 fee will be charged for the use of the oils. Offered one Wednesday evening a month at 7:30 pm, see our current schedule for more details. |
