Prenatal Yoga
Pregnancy is a transitional time for women, when many physical & emotional changes take place. Your body needs special care. Prenatal Yoga is an excellent way to slow down, prepare the body for all the changes it goes through and honor these changes in ourselves, our body and our baby. Prenatal Yoga emphasizes gentile stretching and supported strengthening poses to nurture the pregnant body. Meditation and relaxation techniques are incorporated to nurture the spirits of you and your baby. The yoga postures and breathing help strengthen the uterus and pelvic muscles, keep the body flexible, are designed to help ease many common discomforts in pregnancy, and make your body flexible and strong for birth. Many women find that practicing yoga during pregnancy calms their mind, lifts their mood, and deepens their connection with their growing baby. With sharing information and knowledge, and finding focus through the breath with deep relaxation, together Mothers connect to their babies and prepare for a healthy, mindful, more natural approach to a more peaceful and calm labor and birth. This class is open to expectant moms of all yoga experience levels. Pregnancy is a great time to begin. Classes are ongoing and include women in all phases of pregnancy. The practice of yoga gives you the opportunity to create a world (your body) for your baby that is healthy and at peace. Taught by Jackie DeGaetano.

Mommy & Baby
All levels of yoga experience are welcome as this class is a restorative, yet strengthening, Hatha yoga class for the new mom and baby. It offers moms an opportunity to integrate yoga and movement with their baby as well as meet other new moms in class. Class focuses on gentle strengthening exercises to tone and relax a mother's body after delivery and meditation to calm your mind. Moms and babies will stretch to increase abdominal and back strength; and Moms will also build stamina. The class also includes baby play, baby stretches, and baby massage. You may begin class as soon as you feel ready for exercise, though a common guide line is around 4 - 6 weeks postpartum. Join in anytime. Taught by Jackie DeGaetano.
